I’ve realised recently that I have ridiculously long arms, like an orangutan (I’m getting a red line under this word and I don’t know why) so I had to cut them out of the photo. They are too distracting.
Anyway, enough about me (it never is) and more about the food. I went to Loving Hut in Jimbocho with my husband. We didn’t go for the lunchtime buffet, but I think we would next time, we went for dinner instead. I think it’s only open on Saturdays, at select times, so do check that it will be open if you decide to go. I suppose there isn’t much demand? Plus the area is a bit out of the way for a lot of people, I think. Anyway, it was really nice and all vegan. the only sort of drawback/hesitation I have is it centres a lot around faux meat. If you’re into that, that’s great, if not, not sure you’d enjoy it too much.
We had the following:
- steamed buns – black bean and ‘niku’man
- shumai
- colourful gyoza
- jumbo gyoza
- white radish cake (my absolute favourite of all the dim sums)
- karaage
It was filling and not outrageously expensive – about ¥2,500-¥3,000.
It was quiet when we went just after opening and had a international feel about it.
Worth a shot says I.
