Amazon Kindle Unlimited

I wrote about signing up for a free trail with Amazon UK Kindle Unlimited here.

It was free for a month and to be honest, I didn’t even end up using it for the whole time.  I think I decided to cancel halfway through the trail and then just gave up on it.

Of course, this is just me but the books on offer either weren’t the ones I really like to read or I had already read.  If you are into crime books, I think it might be quite a good service as they did seem to have a lot of those on offer. I’m not sure how to describe what I like but it didn’t seem to fit with Kindle Unlimited.

On Amazon, I keep a wishlist of all the books I come across and fancy reading.  Then when I’m looking for something to read, I consult that list.  I went through my entire list of around 400 books and only about 10 max were on Kindle Unlimited.  I don’t think I have such eclectic taste but obviously too eclectic for Amazon.

If you like the bestsellers and crime novels, I think you probably can’t go wrong with it but if you like a selection, I’d just try your local library.

Have you tried Kindle Unlimited?  What did you think of it?
