lazy sunday

Oh what a lovely Sunday, oh what a beautiful day.  It was such a nice Sunday!  We went down to the beachy bit at Kasai Rinkai Park and walked around.  There were a lot of people in the actual park bit but not so many on the beach which was nice as I’m not a huge fan of crowded places.  ‘Why do you live in Tokyo then?’  you might ask and the answer is, I don’t know.  Anyway, enjoy the pictures and make sure to visit if you haven’t already.

You can see Disney off in the distance.  The Castle, Space Mountain and maybe Big Thunder Mountain. Plus, look, as I said, not many people!

The big wheel.  We haven’t been on it.  I have the same problem with it as Tokyo Tower – I like looking at it but if I go on it, I can’t see it anymore.  It’s a victim of its own man-made beauty.

Do you see the kites?  They look quite bird-like but no, they are kites.  They were amazing.  I think a group must have been practising for fun or who knows but they were synchronised.  The picture can’t show you how good they were, but trust me, they were.

You can see the bridge you cross to get over to the beach.  Can you see the glass dome in the background, too?  That’s the aquarium.  Not my sort of thing but it seems popular.  The white greenhouse-type of building to the left of the photo is a sort of look out place.  You can see Disney quite well from there.

All rounded of with Mister Donut.  The coffee is refillable, the doughnuts are not.  I had never tried the pom doughnuts until the other week and I must say, they are very good.  The bottom one was a baked one – trying to be healthy and all that.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Emily
