i can’t believe you’re not an artist

They’re too good, aren’t they?  For someone not in the creative industry.  I know.   Anyway, these are my plans for my sewing extravaganza for this summer. All Tilly and the Buttons patterns which I am very drawn to. We will just have to see how they go.  I have already made two of the items which I will be posting about soon!!

no hobby no life

A thing you get asked over and over and over and over again in Japan is (and this is no matter on the age), ‘What are your hobbies?’.  To me, this is an odd question to ask an adult but maybe I’m the odd one?  My usual boring answer is, ‘reading’.  And watching TV and Netflix and YouTube AND of course, eating.  This actually annoys me because my hobby is reading.  I like to read and I do read.  I am under the impression that lots of people say reading is their hobby but then they never do it.   ...

lazy sunday

Oh what a lovely Sunday, oh what a beautiful day.  It was such a nice Sunday!  We went down to the beachy bit at Kasai Rinkai Park and walked around.  There were a lot of people in the actual park bit but not so many on the beach which was nice as I’m not a huge fan of crowded places.  ‘Why do you live in Tokyo then?’  you might ask and the answer is, I don’t know.  Anyway, enjoy the pictures and make sure to visit if you haven’t already.

spending the money on fukubukuro

31

It’s the new year and with brings fukubukuro in Japan.  I wanted a Lush one but for some reason this year, Lush Japan decided not to do them.  That was a nice surprise.  Can I also say that we trudged to the nearest Lush in a shopping centre and queued outside for 45 minutes. Got inside and no Lush goody bags.  Not wanting to let it upset me, I swiftly moved on and instead bought a Baskin and Robins aka 31 bag, a Mister Donut one and a Haagen Dazs one. Spot the theme?  Yes, it’s food.
