We went to a cooking class whilst we were in Italy and I must say whilst I was a bit apprehensive, it was really good! I was imagining that it would be really strict and that I wouldn’t be able to do it. It was actually really good fun! I had such a good time and I managed to learn how to make some really excellent food. The teacher, Lucas, was so patient and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We made focaccia with olives, sea salt and rosemary.
It was beautiful!
Ravioli with a pumpkin and amaretto biscuit filling.
A sage, butter and pine nut sauce to serve them with.
The finished result, served with a concentrated balsamic glaze and parmesan cheese.
Pumpkin and radicchio lasagne. We made the pasta sheets ourselves!
Dessert – ricotta and pear tart served with the obligatory coffee.
Absolutely loved every minuted and would recommend anyone to take a cooking class. We got to eat our wares on the lovely laid table you can see in the first photo. Incase you haven’t heard, it’s all about experiences nowadays, not about material possessions, meaning a cooking class is bang on trend!
