pancakes at accueil

I went to Accueil in Ebisu for pancakes.  I had the banana and caramel sauce pancakes with vanilla ice cream, see above.  It was really nice and it was huge!  Me being the greedy sod I am at times asked for the regular size.  The waiter explained that size was for two-three people.  So, I’m not quite THAT greedy or brave to still go for that one, so I changed to the half size which I’m bloody glad I did because look at it!  I couldn’t eat it all and I was laughing so much when he brought it out ...

meanderings

Just meandering out and about. Enjoying the ‘fresh’ air and the sun on our backs.

I’m using photos from two days here and pretending they are one. The jig’s up now though! I’m my own worse enemy, I just sabotaged myself and didn’t even bat an eyelid whilst doing it. Doesn’t it look like autumn in these photos? But it’s not! It’s winter because it’s December. Unbelievable.

botanical garden and pumpkins

It’s nearly Halloween and I love Halloween. That makes it the perfect time of year for me. Although, this year I must say, I haven’t been really feeling so excited for it. I wanted to go last year but kept thinking it would always be packed with people wanting to photograph the pumpkins. I couldn’t have been more wrong, it was practically empty.

It was ¥500 to get in for a couple which I was ecstatic about.

todoroki valley

So, I am finall getting up my photos for Todoroki Valley. I went in June, so this is Todoroki Valley in June. I imagine it must be absolutely gorgeous in the autumn, so would recommend. I used to live really close to this place but I wasn’t aware of that fact at the time. Instead, I waited until I was living on the other side of Tokyo to visit; It only took over an hour to get there. It was a really beautiful place though and I would recommend going if you’re living in the city and want some peace ...

It’s the park…again!

It’s the park…again, but the clue was in the title.  I love this park.  We went at dusk this time and it was so peaceful and tranquil.  We saw a mummy turtle preparing to lay eggs which was really special and we saw lots of other turtles and carp.  It’s also free which sort of does make it hard not to like.

That was our weekend, how about yours? ...
