Vancouver・Mexico City・Toronto・Montreal 2026 – 1/3

The person who doesn’t like travelling has been travelling again. We went in August and we ‘had’ to go to Vancouver which isn’t such a bad flight from Tokyo. Ever since the direct flight to London became nearly 15 hours, anything around 10 and under has started to feel like nothing! We had a spare week and didn’t think there would be enough for us to enjoy in Vancouver for that long (we’re not outdoorsy) so then we were umming and ahing about where to go. It was going to be San Diego but that didn’t look like there was enough to do either. ANYWAY! We ended up choosing Mexico City because there was a direct flight.

Vancouver

We had around half a day in Vancouver before we we were flying to Mexico City (I went to Vancouver Airport 6 times in total on this trip) and we pretty much saw everything we wanted to apart from Stanley Park – Chinatown, Gastown and Granville Island.

#Chinatown
I think Chinatown in Vancouver needs a new name so people can get a feel of what they are going to get. Something relating to various substances, perhaps?

#Gastown
What is it? A clock and buildings made out of red bricks?

#GranvilleIsland
I’d come here for food because it wasn’t too great anywhere else. I liked it all – pierogi, butter tart and a maple syrup square thing. I enjoyed the butter tart a lot which was kind of like a treacle tart.

#WalkingAround
Loads of cruise ships whisking people off to Alaska.

#StanleyPark
We went to Stanley Park when we came back, but I didn’t take any photos. We saw seals! We ate at a restaurant and got food poisoning.
