how I start the day: walking in Tokyo

My husband and I went for a walk this morning. I woke up at 6:45 and and the weather was beautiful – blue skies and big, white, fluffy clouds. We got ready and decided to head down to the river.

We stayed out for about 45 minutes and saw maybe 5 other people trotting about.

The river was calm but high and we had good visibility looking out onto Tokyo. I’d like to say that I start my mornings this way every day, but I don’t.

Of course, not everything is perfect and we saw this dumped on the steps. I need to take gloves next time and a rubbish bag to pick it all up. On the way home, we saw the mountains of rubbish piled up outside the apartment blocks. Our bag was there too, so I can’t really comment too much, only to say that we all probably need to try harder.

I hope you had a good start to your day,

Emily
