I love this dress. It’s the dress I wear to any weddings I attend (not with Converse, obviously – I hope). This means I have worn it a grand total of 3 times. It’s the Nani Iro bias neck dress from the ATELIER to nani IROのソーイングクローゼット book (English version is available – The Nani Iro Sewing Studio: 18 Timeless Patterns to Sew, Wear & Love) made in Nani Iro cotton sateen.
It looks good (I think, I’m not sure I want to hear if you don’t), is very comfortable to wear and was fairly easy to make.
Next time:
- I got the neck a bit wrong, so would make sure to pay attention to that or just finish it like a normal neck
- I might make it just a touch longer both back and front (for reference, I’m 175cm or about 5’9″)
- Make the arm holes a little wider
I have some spotty cotton sateen, so depending on how much I have of it, I might make another one out of that or the top version.
